Evolution, evolution and the Bible

Which do you believe in, evolution with a little "e" or Evolution with the big "E"? I believe there are two types of evolution. There is Evolution, which is the theory opposite the proposed theory of Creationism presented in the Bible. It deals with the origins of the life, the primordial "soup" and the theory that life miraculously was created by hap circumstances and the combination of just the right chemicals. Biochemists have tried to reproduce the circumstances surrounding the creation of the first organism but have failed countless times. Sir Fred Hoyle calculated that the chance of Evolution occurring was 10 to the power of 20. Every single circumstance had to be exactly correct for spontaneous life to occur, chances, which are very slim.

Now there is also "evolution," which deals with natural selection and mutations. Natural selection is very potent in today's world and can be seen in certain species such as Darwin's finches in which one species eventually was split into several others as a result of mutations. I however do not believe that such mutations can lead to a jump from say a monkey to a human. That would require an incredible amount of mutations, the chances of which go even father time. In organisms such as bacteria, which duplicate and produce at an incredible rapid rate, mutations are still rare but occur more often because of the rate of bacterial reproduction. Now in humans, good mutations are extremely rare. The chances of a good mutation happening, a mutation that doesn't kill the organism and that can be passed on the the next generation is extremely, extremely rare. All mutation can practically be considered bad because that is how few of them are ever positive mutations. The chance of enough mutations happening to lead to the evolution of monkeys to humans is virtually impossible.
But instead of debating the burnt out Evolution vs Bible debate, for the next couple of posts, I want to point out the intricacy of the world as it is and how something as complex as all the organisms in the world couldn't have evolved spontaneously.

I first want to talk about how life on earth would be impossible if even one little circumstance surrounding the planet was changed. Our sun is exactly in the place that it needs to be. If the distance between the earth and the sun, which is 93 million miles, was changed by even 2 %, life on earth wouldn't be possible! If the moon's distance from the earth was changed, the tilt of the Earth would be different, and the ocean tides could be so high so that continents would be completely submerged two times a day! While these little facts don't prove the theory of Creation or the Bible, they always make me consider how unlikely it is that everything on Earth is arranged so perfectly so that life on Earth is possible!

Does theory of a Shrinking Sun Help Support the Bible Timeline?

The Bible and Creationism are always in constant dispute, so I would like to take a step back and really analyze the startling facts about our surrounding world, facts that really point towards a creator or support events that occurred in the Bible.

So how old is the earth? Many scientists claim it to be billions of years old while still others believe it to be only a couple thousand of years old. What can the sun tell us about the world's age? In 1979, John Eddy and Aram Boornazian, published a report in which they cataloged the decreasing diameter of the sun. According to that report, the sun's diameter is decreasing at a rate of 5 ft per hour. Can this finding be considered a fact that can end up supporting the Bible and the theory of Creation? Many would beg to differ, yet many would also agree. The Bible calls for a world much younger than present scientists hypothesize. If the rate at which the sun decreases now is the rate at which the sun has always been changing, then that means that if the sun had existed several million years ago, it would be so big, that the heat it exudes would make any life on earth impossible! Now many scientists claim that just because the sun's diameter is decreasing now, doesn't mean that it has always been decreasing at this rate. There is no way to prove this, but there is also no way as of yet to prove evolution or even creationism as a matter of fact.
